✨ about me and this blog ✨
ohhhh where to begin?
I started this blog back in 2010 when I first discovered raw food and basically the whole world.
I started a raw diet mostly because I’m curious.
And then I noticed that my eczema disappeared, my migraines went away, I lost 20 pounds and was SO full of energy.
I even started running marathons and that’s when I found yoga.
In 2014, though, I stepped away from it all.
Staying true to my curiosity, I left the US and traveled Latin America for a few years. I explored the cenotes of Mexico and the villages of Guatemala.

I climbed the volcanoes in Nicaragua and smoked ganja in Costa Rica.

I sailed from Panama to Colombia and floated my way down to Ecuador, where I lived for a few years.

I studied classical Hatha Tantra in India and bopped around Southeast Asia.
And now?
I am in Australia basically because I met a cute guy in Thailand and he’s from Australia and what can I say, I’m a sucker for accents.
I didn’t end up being raw vegan the whole time and, truthfully, I don’t consider myself vegan anymore.
To me, connecting with other people and their cultures is an equally important part of making this world a better place as reducing our waste and eating plant-based.
So while living in Ecuador, I immersed myself totally in the culture and its food. I ate fish and dairy while there, as well as lived with a beautiful family and worked at a Catholic school.
It was everything I needed and revealed everything I believe in.
Now that I’m back in a more Western world, I’m fully plant-based again.
And so I’m back on the blog.
But this time with a bigger heart and an even bigger mission to share what I’ve learned and how I’ve come to understand what it takes to make this world a better place.
Basically, making as little impact on this planet as possible through a low-waste, plant-based, compassion-first life.
And I can’t wait to share it with you 🥰
