All natural Vitamin D, baby …

Strong bones is no joke. Many Americans have a major Vitamin D deficiency no matter what foods they consume. Most assume they are getting enough calcium because the milk they drink is fortified with extra calcium. However, without enough Vitamin D your body cannot absorb the calcium (not to mention that milk actually leeches the calcium out of your bones since it is so incredibly acidic in your stomach that calcium reserves are called upon to neutralize the acid … ).

The easiest way to solve that problem? SUNSHINE!! Get outside for 10-15 minutes a day and let the sun’s beautiful rays kiss your face and hands and forearms. Nature is here to provide for you and the sun is the most abundant form Vitamin D and all things beautiful.

The Mayo Clinic describes, perfectly, why Vitamin D is so important:

“The major biologic function of vitamin D is to maintain normal blood levels of calcium and phosphorus. Vitamin D aids in the absorption of calcium, helping to form and maintain strong bones. It is used, alone or in combination with calcium, to increase bone mineral density and decrease fractures. Recently, research also suggests that vitamin D may provide protection from osteoporosis, hypertension (high blood pressure), cancer, and several autoimmune diseases.”
